The Day when I get lost

A special adventure that I had, it was when we were invited an end of year by a few friends to their apartment they had in Orlando,  United States. My dad said to us from several months earlier, that we would go at the end of the year to spend the New Year to Orlando with this family, who had two daughters and one of them, the smallest has the same age that I have.
I remember that we prepare the trip and thought to be  a few days firstly in Miami. It was getting excited to think of going to such coloring beaches of Miami, as well as going shopping and to walk along the Avenue Collins and to see the whole quantity of hotels that there are.
When it came the day in which we would do the trip could not believe it. Since it was very exciting. We go out one December 25 after a night of sleeplessness and celebration and our flight  was going out very early, so, we  were in the airport at 5 a.m. AM. I remember that there were many people at the airport taking their flights and that the airport was still in construction.
Finally they announced the exit of our flight and after approximately 2 hours of flight we were landing in Miami. We happen some days there and we went to the beach, to eat all kinds of rich and international food that they were offering us and to do all kinds of buys, which is what I more love of any trip.
There came the day in which we leave to Orlando. My dad was handling a very comfortable and big car that it had rented. Since we raise ourselves to the car we knew that it was another adventure in this incredible trip. We come to the apartment of our friends and after sharing a little bit, we decided to  go next morning to visit the parks, this way we did it. I remember we spent the December 31 in the park along with the personages of Walt Disney, living  the magic of the wonderful world of Disney.
So far quite there was going everything wonderful, the best of what  we can extract profit in a trip like this. A few days were missing for our return when we decide to go to do the last buys and keep on knowing other malls. I was going very exciting and wanted to buy  everything. In a moment I went inside in a sweets shop to buy some of them. My mom was coming behind me since I had asked her  to  accompany me, but I went forward. She calculated to find me in the shop while I was selecting the candies that I wanted but I don’t know  why I do not take a long time inside the shop and I went out  to meet again my mom. I lost her place and quickly I got anxious for not having seen her.
I remember that more or less close there was the store J.C. Penney where I went to be able to ask for help since it was lost. The first thing that I did was to speak with a lady who was entrusted and was speaking with another one . When I  explained them what was happening to me I remember that we rise at the level of administration and there  was  a very kind gentleman and they called by microphone my parents, telling them that I was in administration because I didn’t  find them. When my dad raised quickly, the first thing that I did  was to embrace him and then to begin to cry. In administration they gave me a Mickey in the snow. Which was graceful. When we go down already and quite I ran to my mom. Being like I was, we not know how we can react,  and the first thing that I was thinking is:  Will  I see and find my parents again?  Entirely a series of questions I was thinking.
Now, my parents  talk about this and they always say that they do not know the color  each one had in our faces, but when I was again with them, we  had the normal color in our faces and everything was ok.
I do not tell this for a  special thing,  but if,  for an adventure through that I had to live and that I was so scare.

A Cousin could be the Perfect Sister.

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life. Claudia was Born April 13, 1982 in Guatemala, the daughter of Luis Calderon, Auditor and Aída Regina Blanco Pérez, Business Administrator. She is the oldest one and has a sister named Diana del Rosario Calderón Blanco. She studied at the  Instituto Belga Guatemalteco until third grade, and then she moved to the Colegio Verbo. Always obtained the grades number one  in her class in both elementary and high school. Her favorite subjects were always Math, Science and English. During the primary did gymnastics for 4 years. At school she practiced foot-ball and basket-ball. When she was in nineth grade  she went for an exchange student for 6 months to Missouri, USA, and when she returned back to her country, she studied to be a  teacher, and  during her senior year (6th teachers) attended at the afternoon the "Teaching Trainning Course" at the IGA in order to have a degree that's credited as an English teacher.
She never  liked working with paper, or with accounts, she likes working with people and always wanted to be a doctor.
That is why in 2001  she joined the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala, where the first three years were years of learning theory and the basic sciences. There, during that period, her favorite classes were: Clinical Sciences and Semiology. The first three years of study earned recognition in the event of Cátedra Prima of the Faculty of Medical Sciences for winning the first place in her class for three years.
From the fourth year the classes were teaching in hospitals in Guatemala. During the fourth year she made his practice of internal medicine and surgery at the Hospital General San Juan de Dios,  Family Clinic held in the Colonia Santa Fe, zone 13. During the fifth year she made her practice of pediatrics at Roosevelt Hospital, the gynecology at the Institute of Social Security and was studying infertility for 2 months at the Human Reproduction Unit of the Catholic University of Chile, Santiago de Chile.
During her trip to Chile she learned much more than medicine, she learned another culture. Chilean society is progressive and competitive society, she learned that Guatemala has to work harder to get out of underdevelopment where actually is.
During these two last years also placed first place in her class so that, was recognized by the Cátedra Prima in 2004 and 2005 too.

In 2006, when last year's race. 6 months was in the Hospital General San Juan de Dios for the Supervised Professional Practice (EPS) hospital and then performed the EPS Rural  in El Tejar , Chimaltenango. During the sixth year of her career came in second place in her class and was recognized by the Cátedra Prima. The curriculum of the career she ended in January 2007. She worked at the Sanatorio El Pilar from February 2007 to October of the same year. She graduated as a doctor and surgeon in June 2007. During his graduation she was honored with the recognition of "Cum Laude" for her high average over the 6 years of the race.
In 2007 she was chosen to give the speech on university autonomy on the anniversary of the University of San Carlos.  In November 2007, she applied to study the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Guatemalan Social Security Institute, where she earned first place in the program of opposition; then, she began in January 2008 that residence. During the year 2008 was chosen as the best student at the University of San Carlos de Guatemala and she did an interview for the newspaper XXI Century which listed the best students from all universities of Guatemala, it only was one representative from each university (they were 9 students in total ), she was the only woman selected for the interview. In December 2010 she was appointed Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2011 where she currently works.

Claudia is my cousin and also my best friend. She is single but she has a boyfriend. As she is a PE teacher, she likes working outdoors with people of all ages. On weekdays she gets up very early in the  morning and works until eleven o'clock in the evening so she is not able to spend much time with her family and friends. On weekends she travels as much as she can, considering she likes going to original places and loves new experiences. She loves shopping and she buys whatever catches her eyes.
My cousin , who is especially loyal to her internal value systems, believes that family is extremely important and so she dedicates all her spare time to them. Friends are also central in her life and this is shown in her reliableness and faithfulness. A strong sense of responsibility and duty guides her behaviour towards people in need. Although she has all these many qualities.
For Claudia, the keys to success are hard work, honesty and perseverance.  Undoubtedly my cousin  is an extraordinarily unique person that is why I love her.
Many people in my life have been a positive influence, but I have decided to write about one person in particular. I admire this person greatly. This person is my cousin, Claudia.
Claudia is a very special cousin. She is the sister I always dream to have.  One of the main reasons I admire her so much is her lovingness to her family. She was always caring and loving to all of our family. Because of her love, she always kept her promises. Responsibility is a word that describes Claudia.Another big reason I admire her is because of the intelligence she had.

A School Bus after time.

I remember I was in Nursery, a very little girl. Those were my first days at school. At that time, we lived with my parents in Honduras. We were in Honduras by the work of my dad. Even now, I can not imagine living in another country of Central America than Guatemala.

But back to my childhood, something that always caused me much laughter was when I had to go to wait  for the bus with my dad. Every day, from Monday through Friday I got up to go to school. I remember how my mom raised me with such sweetness and when I was dressed and almost ready to leave, my mom put me on perfume, and it was so, so identified with me that was already an own scent.

I left out with my little school bag, which I never sent me my schedule and tasks only small notebooks. My beautiful red lunchbox. I remember it was of cartoons at that time were the rage. When we were with my dad waiting for the bus, and It did no come,  came a moment when I despaired, and I think or I guess we left with several minutes before. Because  my parents have been always very timely. Seeing that the bus did not come to pick me up, I took back my lunchbox and I returned home. My dad just looked at me and  laughed so much seeing his daughter so small starting wing back home because the bus took too long and did not come.

Being impatient has always been with me. But when my dad saw I had walked, for me too much, but really less than 9 steps, returning to take me back to the bus stop. Finally the bus came and I went inside in a very  nice and big yellow bus. I remember it was a big bus for my size but  it was a particular bus. I  was happy and I was sitting at the window saying goodbye to my daddy.

I remember coming to school and my class was great with all my teammates. What I always keep in mind is to be in my class taking a rest watching the Little Mermaid movie and then we put that song. I think that character is identified a lot with me so many times we sang. My school is called La Estancia School. Since returning from Honduras I have not gone back to that school but to be honest I would love to go and see again mi first school, the small classes and the one   I stayed.

Another thing that I remember is how big it was, we had an incredible green areas, big gardens and ranches where the teachers seat us for eating. My teacher always was very special with me during  the time I was there. If I wanted  to sleep, she took me to the nursery. I had very precious moments during my infancy: at school, with friends, teachers, my parents, family, pet and so on.

Everything around me was taking part in my life. Always at all times and everywhere I always found people that consented me more than normal. Never had to  scold me because I behaved well because I really liked going to school. I will always remember my childhood as a stage that never ends, it goes on just that when we were oldest. The stage that influences us for the rest of our lives.  I would like to define childhood as a never-ending vacation. A weekend without a week Following playtime and everlasting. Since we are babies our parents we always tend to live life to the fullest, to appreciate what we have and always give thanks for what God gives us every day. Since I was born until now my life has been full of happy moments, satisfying and special moments I never will forget.
